The Printable Area option lets your customers upload their images or choose from the previously uploaded ones, and add texts that will be rendered on the live preview and can be moved around.
Here we will see how it works.
First of all, create a new custom option -> and choose Printable Area (Beta) type -> You can choose how to display it on the front end.
You can also choose if it is only an image, only text or both of them are available, and limit the quantity of the items.
Scrolling a bit down you will see your product and the area where the image and text can be placed, you can adjust that area however you need.
This is how it looks on the front end. Customers can choose what they want to add - image or text. If they choose an image -> the file upload field appears -> when the image is uploaded it can be shrunk or enlarged and moved around the area set in the option and indicated by the dotted line.
If customers choose text -> the text area appears -> on the menu also the font, color, and size can be changed, and the text area can be dragged.
To let your customers choose from pre-loaded images, you should create an option with the images they can use. For this option not to be rendered on the front end as a separate one, add to it an Extra HTML Class cpb-hide.
Then go into the Printable Area option -> Scroll down to the Use gallery -> choose from the dropdown From other customization -> Then select the step and option with the images.
Now, when customers choose to add an image there also the preloaded images from the connected option are shown.
