Custom Product Builder offers advanced conditional logic that allows showing / hiding of different options / categories / panels / layers based on the user choices.
Logic rules are created inside of the category / panel / options that you want to hide or show. Inside of the logic tab you would need to set which option from previous categories would trigger hiding or showing.
Here is How you can setup simple rules based on your needs. Here is an example of possible steps that you can envision for your customers:
Step 1: select fabric
Step 2: show the choice of tops based on the fabric.
Step 3: show the choice of bottoms based on the fabric.
In general conditional logic works the following way (for the example above):
Create Panel Customize
Create a category:
fabric style:
options: style 1 | style 2
create category:
tops in fabric style 1:
options: top 1 | top 2
logic rules (category edit section): When Panel 'Customize' > Category 'fabric style' > Option 'Style 1' is selected > Show this Category.
create 2nd category:
tops in fabric style 2:
options: top 1 | top 2
logic rules (category edit section): When Panel 'Customize' > Category 'fabric style' > Option 'Style 2' is selected > Show this Category.
create 3rd category: bottoms in fabric style 1:
options: bottom 1 | bottom 2
logic rules (category edit section): When Panel 'Customize' > Category 'fabric style' > Option 'Style 1' is selected > Show this Category.
create 4th category:
bottoms in fabric style 2:
options: bottom 1 | bottom 2
logic rules (category edit section): When Panel 'Customize' > Category 'fabric style' > Option 'Style 2' is selected > Show this Category.
etc.
Another example:
Category 1: Choose Fabric.
Type: Text Thumbnails or Image Thumbnails (etc)
Option 1: Velvet
Option 2: Cotton
Category 2: Velvet Colors.
Type: Text Thumbnails or Image Thumbnails (etc)
Conditional Logic Rule: IF Panel 1 > Category 1 > Option Velvet is selected. Show this category
Option 1: Green
Option 2: Blue
Category 3: Cotton Colors.
Type: Text Thumbnails or Image Thumbnails (etc)
Conditional Logic Rule: IF Panel 1 > Category 1 > Option Cotton is selected. Show this category
Option 1: Green
Option 2: Blue
There is no limit to the number of levels of conditional logic rules that you can apply to categories, panels etc.
