Customization - Price Discounts Based on Quantity Breakdown. Min / Max Purchasable Quantity (Qty).

It happens that you have special conditions for wholesale buyers, like "Offer discounts depending on the purchased quantity", and you would like to specify these conditions in your online store. Now you can do that with new feature in Custom Product Builder.

For example:

Minimum Order: 10 pieces

From 10 to 99: $ 10 / piece

From 100 to 200: $ 8 / piece

Max Order: 200 pieces

You can also use one of several views of this function. For example you can use thumbnails or you can add table with slider.

To use this feature, please follow these steps:

Fill in the following fields

Title: any title, the more descriptive the better.

Type: Quantity Breakdown.

Save

Fill in the following fields

Label: some name, the more descriptive the better. That will be shown when you mouse over an option.

Value: you can use text or images. It will be shown as options in that category.

Min Qty: input minimum for that price.

Max Qty: input maximum for that price.

Price: input price for that option.

Step: step between values. Default is 1 but can be set as any including fractions.

Save

Add all the quantity options you need.

In the general settings, you need to set the overall minimum quantity, overall maximum quantity, and also enable the "quantity box".

Please, be sure that there are no conflicts in your settings, make sure that Overall Min equals Min Qty in Options and Overall Max Qty is greater than or equal to Max Qty in Options.

Here is the result:

Here is an example where customers can order a maximum of 25 products.

Category appearance setting

As described above, you can customize this category. All you have to do is open the category settings and select the options.

Let's see how it works. To see the result, use Preview Mode or Admin Mode is off.

If required the Quantity Breakdown category can be connected to the Quantity category instead of the overall quantity of the product. To do so you will require the Quantity category in the product. Press "Edit category" on the Quantity breakdown category and select the checkbox "Connect To Quantity Option". You will see dropdowns that would allow you to connect the category to the correct Quantity category.

Wholesale Order / Size Breakdown + Price Discounts Based on Quantity Breakdown

If you have a need to split the total quantity into multiple quantity fields. For example, you need to make several fields for clothing sizes. In this case the total number of products will be calculated as the sum of all quantity fields.

IMPORTANT:  To make sure the product categories / options are saved properly – first click SAVE at the bottom of the category / panel / option screen, and only after that the SAVE button at the top of the page.
