Cloning elements of the product, and other shortcuts

IMPORTANT: When you are cloning Layers, Options, and Steps, the conditional logic they might include is not cloned. You will have to update the logic in the cloned objects manually.

CLONING CUSTOM PRODUCTS

If you need to build a lot of custom products, but their options are similar, it would be a good idea to build a Master product that would contain all the options and clone it. Afterward, you can adjust cloned products manually, it will save you a lot of time.

If you would like to duplicate an existing custom product, do the steps below:

1. Go to the list of created products

2. Press “Clone” on the product you want to copy

3. The cloned product will appear in the list with "-COPY" in it's name.

 

CLONING CUSTOM LAYERS

If you want to duplicate a layer, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Layers tab.

2. Select the Layer and click the clone icon.

 

 

 

3. The cloned layer is created, and you can start editing it.

CLONING STEPS

here is how you can duplicate a step:

1. Go to the STEPS tab.

2) Select a step and click the Clone icon

 

 

3. Choose the name for the cloned step.

 

 

4. Duplicate of the step is created, you can start editing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

MERGING CUSTOM OPTIONS

If you want to merge the Custom Options together or add the same Option Choices to multiple Custom Options (handy for updating products with new Option Choices), you can use the merge button instead of reuploading all Option Choices several times.

1. Press the merge button on the Source Custom Option:

2. Choose the Recipient of Custom Option from the list (IMPORTANT: the Custom Options should be the same type).

3. Press Merge and Apply:

DUPLICATE STEPS TO OTHER CUSTOM PRODUCT

If you need to copy a step from one product to another, you need to open Settings -> General-> and scroll down to Duplicate Steps to Other Custom Products. Click Send Data To Buffer in this block and select the step from the list:

Next, you need to open the target product on the admin panel of CPB and open the same section in the setting. Now, you will need to press the button Insert Data From Buffer.

 

APPLYING LOGIC RULES TO MULTIPLE CHOICES

If you need to apply the same logic rule to several choices in one option, you don't have to put it in each choice manually. Follow the steps below

1. Open the Choice edit screen

2. Build a logic rule

3. Below you find a dropdown with all choices in this option listed. Select the ones that you want to have the same conditional logic rule, and apply.

IMPORTANT:  To make sure the product Custom Options / Custom Option Choices are saved properly – first click SAVE CUSTOM OPTION at the top of the screen, and then click SAVE PRODUCT button at the top of the Product page.
